Most critics complain Back in Black, the album AC/DC recorded after the death of their original lead screamer Bon Scott, is ridiculously juvenile, obvious, snickering, bludgeoning, derivative, single-minded about sex and booze, a big cartoon. All true, of course, and--on rock n ragers like What Do You Do For Money Honey, You Shook Me All Night Long, and the title track--all great. As Scott s replacement Brian Johnson reminds us, loud and crunchy, no-holds-barred rock and roll ain t noise pollution...it makes good, good sense. Never trust anyone who refuses to drink domestic beer, laugh at the Three Stooges, or crank Back in Black. --David Cantwell

#BACK IN BLACK- ONE OF THE BEST METAL ALBUMS OF ALL-TIME!! (2006-10-03) Back in Black has to be considered one of the best metal albums of all-time with two of the best metal songs of all-time in Back in Black and You SHOOK ME ALL NIGHT. AC/DC shines with this album. There aren t enough words to express how great this album is and every AC/DC fan should have this album!! ONE OF THE BEST METAL ALBUMS OF ALL-TIME. IT S A CLASSIC!!
#Their masterpiece (2004-07-18) Where to start with Back in Black? This is easily AC/DC s best work and is certainly one of the greatest hard rock/metal albums ever made. A tribute to former signer Bon Scott, Back in Black opens with the tolling of bells in the intro of the haunting Hells Bells. It only gets better from there. Each of the 10 tracks on Back in Black are outstanding. Of course the hits Back in Black and You Shook Me All Night Long have helped this album maintain it s popularity. But there are a lot of albums with two hits that don t have the staying power of...
#BEST ALBUM EVER MADE (2004-07-17) now look at some bands where a band member dies and they go away forever, did ac/dc. . . . NO!this album contains so much emotion, after the great bon scotts death people and critics thought ac/dc would never be the same, they were correct, they were even better. EVERY song is a hit and a classic!the album took a while to sale in the us. now look at it the 6th (or 7th)best selling album of all time!!brians vocals, angus and mals guitar riffs, cliffs bass playing power, phils groove, and the emotion and sadness make this awwwwwwwwesssssoooooooommmmmmeeeee!
#an AC/DC classic (2004-07-10) Brians first album with AC/DC. This album has some great songs on it Back in Black, Shoot to Thrill,Hells Bells and a many others the only dumb song on this album is Givin the Dog a Bone a really cheesy track indeed. I reccomend getting the remastered version over the original CD release. Epic has also re-issued all of AC/DCs albums on high quality vinyl so go and get this classic gem.
#My Favorite Album also Top of the ACDC Records, tapes,CD s (2004-07-07) This was the first ACDC Cd I ever got it is The Best album And the best ACDC album. Evry song is GREAT AND PURE AC|DC. Brian Johnson sorta made ACDC lyrics more Rockish. Especialy track 8, Have a Drink On Me and Track 1, Hells Bells. Evry Song is Good in rather GREAT. You Should Buy this one nowI got it when I went to Amazon. com in my home city Phoenix looking For Steppenwolf Greatist Hits when I saw ACDC LIVE and ACDc BACK IN BLACK so I got Back In Black alone played it in the car. . . . AND LOVED IT!!!!!!...

#Queen Rocks You re World (2006-08-03) For a Greatest Hits -collection, this is an excellent one. Containing all Queen-hits from 1974-1980, CD provides a lot of pure listening fun. Casual fans make a good buy with this, but required is Greatest Hits II containing later hits by Queen, from 1982-1991. With these two you get a pretty good view for why Queen was and still is so special. So why purchase this edition and not the older one? (Greatest Hits originally in vinyl 1981) Well, as technology develops, we get better sound with these newer CDs. Also, this disc contains a rare single...
#FANTASTIC!!! (2005-10-09) This has got to be one of the best Queen CD s that has been made it is Fantastic!! to buy this CD it will probably be the best thing you have ever done. you won t regret buying it. and that coming from a 15 year old child!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#Queen II???? (2004-07-16) This is a good collection but something is missing? Where are the great tracks from Queen I and Queen II? I mean the tracks ",Keep Yourself Alive",, ",Jesus",, ",My Fairy King",, ",Father to Son",, ",Funny How Love Is",, ",The March of the Black Queen",, ",White Queen (As It Began)",??? There is only one track from Queen II (Seven Seas of Rhye) and no tracks from Queen I! And of course there s only two tracks from ",A Night at the Opera", (",You re My Best Friend", and ",Bohemian Rhap...
#Great CD And Comment To The Last Comment (2004-01-16) This is the original 1981 UK Version of Greatest Hits with an added bonus track from the Day at The Races LP. This is a great remaster! Best yet! As for the other comment about Bohemian Rhapsody not being released in the US till Waynes World. . LMAO!!!!!!! That comment was obviouly done by a youngster. Bohemian Rhapsody was a #1 hit in 1975 on the pop charts in the USA and every Queen LP was released in the USA! The original 1981 Greatest Hits LP released in the US had the exact same cover as this accept the tracks were in a diffe...
#all good (2003-12-23) This was the original UK release of Queen s greatest hits and is the best version of it. It has Queen s biggest track-Bohemian Rhapsody, the US release does not. (maybe because it was not released in the US until after the movie Waynes World, which was ages after the song was first released) Maybe if you guys didnt have to pay extra for this one you might appreciate it more.

#EXCELLENT Compilation! (2004-07-20) This is one of those rare high quality greatest hits compilations that deal a hearty selection of great Queen Songs during their finest hours. If you want only one Queen CD with a solid grouping of Queen s work, this package is the way to go. You not only get their signature songs, but also a great sampling of their best songs that got little radio play like Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, Seven Seas of Rhye, and Now I m Here. All of Queen s albums from their debut up until the 1978 release of Jazz are, in my opinion, such excellent pieces of work th...
#No Bohemian Rhapsody (2004-07-07) This is a very Queen album, but it doen t have Bohemian Rhapsody on it and thats their best song. Still you should definitley get it if you can.
#Definitely worthwhile (2004-06-22) This collection is necessary to anybody who likes rock. Queen are the greatest band ever (in my opinion). Queen are famous for We will rock you and we are the champions , but those aren t the best songs on the album. Another one bites the dust and Crazy little thing called love are all-time classics, and they were Queen s first two #1 hits in the US. Killer Queen and Somebody to Love are both brilliant songs. Other notable songs are Bicycle Race , Now I m here , seven seas of rhye , and Don t stop me now. There are, however, two mi...
#WHAT??!?!?!?!? (2004-06-21) this is a pretty good queen greatest hits cd with just most of their popular radio hits and i gave it two stars for the one problem i had with this cd WHERE IN THE HECK IS BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY?!?!?!?!?!?!?? for that reason alone nobody should buy this cd go and look for a better greatest hits cd of queen one that has RHAPSODY!!!
#Title should be ",Dude, That s Messed Up",... (2004-06-04) since it deliberately does not include Bohemian Rhapsody and a few other hits, leaving them for the Classic Queen CD. I will readily admit I m not a big fan of Queen s stuff after Under Pressure (another hit not included on this). I prefer their earlier work. But a solid half of this CD (and the ",Classic Queen", CD) is that later-80 s- yeah, this is Queen but I ll always skip these tracks since they re not that good -stuff. Presumably, the record company thought they needed to save a few hits for the Class...

1. Battery 2. Master of Puppets 3. Thing That Should Not Be 4. Welcome Home (Sanitarium) 5. Disposable Heroes 6. Leper Messiah 7. Orion [Instrumental] 8. Damage, Inc.

One of the defining albums of thrash metal, Master of Puppets is arguably Metallica s best album (as well as their last with bassist Cliff Burton). Focusing on the concept of power and abuses thereof, this is a collection of complex, intelligent music, played at about a hundred miles an hour. Not that these are short songs, this eight-song album clocks in at over an hour, which makes it all the more impressive that not one moment on this recording is boring. In tackling various approaches to their subject, Metallica is insightful lyrically as well as musically: Welcome Home (Sanitarium) is from the point of view of an institutionalized inmate and Disposable Heroes is the perspective of a soldier. If all you ve heard of Metallica is what s been on the radio recently, check this one out. You re in for a surprise. --Genevieve Williams

#Great! (2008-08-05) I have to say that every person who say they like Metallica should get these 5 albums together 1-Kill em all 2-Master of puppets 3-Ride the ligthing 4- And justice for all 5-the black album. One cannot go without the other! Must have these classics if you want to stick with the ABC s of this band.
#Master,Master,Laughing At My Cries! (2007-11-25) Master Of Puppets can only be described as a masterpiece of trash metal,it has even been said that it was the greatest metal album ever,While everyone has different opinions, including Metallica fans and i think that its a great album and their most popular album definatly, but certainly not Metallica s best in my opinion(i would say its Ride The Lightning). This album is highly respected by metal listeners everywhere and with reason,it has many great tracks and its metal from beggening to end. The title track alone is worth buying this al...
#Best Metallica Album. Ever. (late review) (2007-08-14) Metallica has been going in a downward slope ever since Metallica (self-titled) until St. Anger was the nail on the coffin. However, don t let that change your thoughts to get this album, even though it may seem a bit intimidating. 8 songs, all which are over 5 minutes? This is the length of a normal cd once you listen through, it will be your money s worth, not to mention if you are getting tired of bands that don t provide guitar solos, here is your choice cd. The topics in Master Of Puppets are quite wide assorted, some are ab...
#ABSOLUTELY THE BEST HEAVY METAL ALBUM OF ALL-TIME (2006-07-21) Metallica is the best heavy metal band of all-time. Arguments can be made for both Led Zepplin and Black Sabbath as the best metal of all-time- but no one has had more impact or influenced more bands than Metallica. Master of Puppets is one wild ride from start to finish. Master of Puppets is heavy metal at its absolute best. Master of Puppets, Damage Inc and Leper Messiah are the best songs on this album. 2006 is the twenty-year anniversary of this classic album and you know something, it s a great album. THIS IS A ...
#Great! (2005-12-04) This album in my opinion is the best Metallica album out there, also the finest piece of thrash metal out there, though in my opinion some songs are bit weak at timesBattery- great spanish guitar intro, but after the electric part comes crashing, they sorta screw up the great melody they had at the begining. still good song. 7/10Master of puppets- probably the strongest song in the album along with Leper messiah, disposable heroes and welcome home(sanitarium) great heavy intro and turns into a furious rocker in no time, also great solo in the middle. 10/10The thi...

#Interesting Story (2008-10-14) I am a huge Alice fan! I have to say this album took some time to grow on me. At first I wasn t crazy about it. There were a few songs that I really liked (Vengeance is Mine, Salvation, & Along Came a Spider). The story and lyrics are very interesting and if you get into the character that Alice is talking about, then the album starts to really grow on you. The last song Along Came a Spider is a great song and very Alice. I recommend this album.
#Very Good (2008-10-06) I m a long time Alice Cooper fan and I really enjoy this album. I ve had it in heavy rotation on my player since it came out. Wake The Dead, Catch Me If You Can and (In Touch With) Your Feminine Side are particularly good.
#Almost Unlistenable (2008-09-01) I love Alice. I have every album he has ever done so I had to buy this one naturally. It s not his worst but it s darn close. I had to struggle with myself just to keep listening. After a week I couldn t take it anymore and had to remove it from my cd player. There is maybe 1 average song but the rest are really bad and it s not even worth the effort to take it off my shelf to tell you what the best song on the cd is because it would be one 1/5 rated song out of the rest that I would probably rate 0/5 so it won t make a difference. Do Not Buy ...
#One of his best! (2008-08-30) Alice is God, and this album is amazing, anyone who hates this album was never a true Alice fan and is probally a talent deaf britney fan. Alice is back better than ever!
#This is horrible (2008-08-21) Being a huge Alice Cooper fan, all I can say that this album is a major disappointment. A last minute fix to make money. With the exception of Salvation (song # 10 on the album), all the songs are mediocre. Highly unrecommended.
