#Patience is a virtue (2008-11-30) Being of the believers that this album would never see a store shelf, I bought it on its release day. I ve got to give props to Axl Rose for having the steadfast to work on this long on it. There are songs that I liked right away and there are some that grow on you. Standout tracks Better, Sorry, Catcher in the Rye and the title track. A good album that I would recommend.
#Not Bad!!!! (2008-11-24) Axl Rose is a supreme GOOF,we all know that and I will not pay one red cent to see that GOOF live (if he decides to show!!!!!!). With that said this album is not half bad, worth a 17 year wait for original material I think not,but well worth a listen or two. . . . . . . . or three!!!!!
#Just bought the album and I love it! (2008-11-23) Although 15 years has passed since GnR released an album, Chinese Democracy demonstrates that Axl still has the great vocals and that his band can sure as hell rock! Most of the songs on the CD are awesome, with just a couple of OK songs. Some of the songs are sung with a deeper voice from Axl, but you will still hear tons of the great ol classic high-pitched, loud, Axl voice! Definitely worth the purchase!
#Worth the wait? (2008-11-23) The big question is whether the wait was worth it for Chinese Democracy. Upon listening to it, the answer is two-fold and depends entirely on what expectations you had. If Axl Rose did indeed spend 14 years trying to make the decade s excellent rock record, he succeeded in a number of regards. There isn t a single bit of filler on here and everything is precise and coordinated. Musically speaking, this has more in the vein of November Rain than, say, the raw power of the early Hollywood Rose days. Songs like Chinese Democracy, Shackler s Revenge, and ...
#Well worth the wait for sure (2008-11-23) Amazing work by Axl and his crew. Let s keep this short and sweet. . . this album is amazing. One or two ok songs and the rest is pure gold. Stand outs include Better, Sorry, There Was a Time and Madagascar. Just a beautiful album. Welcome back Axl!

#Best Australian Export!!! (2008-11-29) Being a long time AC/DC fan, a new release is always a welcomed addition to the cd collection. You know you ll get a collection of in your face rock songs. Strong points on the cd are Rock N Roll Train, War Machine and Black Ice. Buy this cd if you like fun music without any pretense.
#Love It!! (2008-10-25) Best in a LONG time if you are a fan!I ve been loving the train track on the radio whenever I catch it. I wheeled right through it and instantly liked many of the other tracks. Many influences through the album George Thorogood influenced riffs on one, blues and heavy base lines on others. You might need a grain of salt with this review, as i LOVED Ballbreaker and listened to Stiff Upper Lip for close to a year after buying it. This I think immediately surpasses S. U. L. , and would be on a par with Ballbreaker. Track 11 has me turning the volume in my Audi lo...
#Thunder from down under returns.... (2008-10-23) This is one of the best albums the boys have put out. The first single is a good rock song and the album just builds from there. As I listened to the enitre album I loved the sound. Unlike other albums there wasn t alot of filler. It was slick, flowed from beginning to end and some of the songs were upbeat and fresh. ACDC have kept true to style and I could hear some sounds from the Bon Scott era as well as the Back in Black era yet they had a modern sound. The packaging was unique, in a hardback book style with lots of pics and lyr...
#nothing new! that s perfect... (2008-10-22) One of the best rock group in the world, who asstand for years on the scene of hard rock, theyhave nothing to proved and still doing what theylove the most, play rock. . . enjoy it loud! 15 rockingsongs with nothing wrong to it. . . just perfect. Marc, Montreal.
#Acdc- Black Ice review (2008-10-10) I was fortunate to hear an advanced copy of the new acdc album black ice. I was pleasantly surprised. Here is what I thought1. Great vocals by Brian, yes he cannot hit those high notes anymore but he doesn t not sound like daffy duck anymore as in the past. 2. Very melodic again it seems that Brian really worked hard on ther melody something that has been missing from the last few albums3. Most of the songs are toe tapping strong, usually you get two or three good tracks on this album I would say 12 out of 15 are great. 4. They should have jus...

#It s been way too long!!! (2008-11-24) Being a longtime fan(since . . . And Justice For All) of the band and finding merit in both Load and Re-Load I was skeptical when I heard Metallica was turning back the clock on their new album. After hearing the same thing before the release of St. Anger and being disappointed by that mess of an album with a drum sound the equivalent of hiting a garbage can. Death Magnetic is an album from a band comfortable in their own skin and having fun making music again. The songs are longer with a lot of time changes, great guitar work and a very milita...
#Mediocre... but it s still Metallica (2008-10-29) For Metallica there s probably never been a CD as important as this one. After the sonic insult that was called St. Anger and the train wreck documentary Some Kind of Monster the band had to work hard to claw back the respect and renewed loyalty of the metal-heads. Did they do it? Yes and No. This album is way better than it s predecessor, but sadly pales in comparison to Metallica and Load and for all the talk of taking the band back to their thrash days, it doesn t even come close to And Justice For All or the Master. . . mast...
#genius (2008-10-22) Let me tell I have been a Metallica fan for 20 + yrs and to me this is by far their most complete record to date. This just proves again they will go down as one of the best heavy metal bands of all time, because let me tell you after seeing them in concert 8 times they are certainly the best live act of all time.
#Great album from a great band! (2008-10-20) Metallica, as the name states it, were never a trash band. They are a heavy metal band. They have recorded some trash metal which confuses their most narrow-minded fans-the trash metal fans. They want them to record the same records after 25 years like some other bands. And they want their albums to sound like scratched. A great band won t do that in 2008! Death Magnetic is an excellent album and sounds like Metallica at their best. Great songwriting, nice solos, good job from Hetfield. Yes, he is not Rob Halford or Bruce Dickinson, bu...
#Excellent! Go grab it now!
