#loved it (2009-11-02) I have never watched a single episode of 24 until two days ago. I don t even watch dramas or cop shows in general, except for House and NCIS. I started watching Season 7 of 24 on Saturday morning and finished it on Sunday close to midnight. I didn t even expect to like it, especially with me missing season 1. . 6, but I did like it. In fact, I just couldn t stop watching. I m buying seasons 1. . 6 and the movie now :)The acting is great, and the script is fantastic. Lots of twists, lots of action. And each time you think it s over, the stakes just get highe...
#24 season 7 (2009-07-05) 24 season 7 is fast and furious with a bit of moral thinking but not to much and not too easy. The scenario is well done with an outcome every four or five episodes, which has put rythm in my viewing. The president and Renee are credible, humain and gorgeous each one in her way. The fact that Bauer is exposed is not a great idea for the tension. . . and it gives the impression that Bauer is beginning to be (too obviously)old. The season 8 should not show a Bauer slow, recovering, and too papy. Anyway this season 7 is a great season. Thanks to all. Michel D
#a nice one! (2009-06-28) For the fans, this season is a good one, with all the surprises you could expect! Obviously Jack survives everything but still, the plots are good and often unexpected. For someone who never watched the show before, this might be a bit too much of overpower from the Bauer but eh! we like it that way! Then I would recommend starting with the first season to better understand the caracter. . . before it became all about overpower. . . In any case, it s veeery nice entertainement!buy it.
#Action Galore (2009-06-01) Jack Bauer is the BEST! Keep them coming. Poor Jack never gets any creditfor saving the good ole USA. Superb Series!
#Awsome (2009-05-26) They put all the action better than ever! This season is simply one of the best tv season ever made. You must buy it now and enjoy!!

#I might not be objective....I just love 24 (2009-08-28) If you are a fan of 24, you already know that it s great. If you are not or never seen 24, buy this first season and if you like this kind of action, you will be hooked.

#Buckle up for this one.. (2009-02-05) 24: Season 6Wow. . Big money was spent on this season s production. Very entertaining. . and captivating. . Buckle up your seatbelts for this ride.
#From tragic hero to sadist: 24, torture, and the degeneration of Jack Bauer (contains spoilers!) (2008-03-05) I entirely agree with those critics out there who think season 6 was awful. Having said that, I actually thought the season had gotten off to a promising start . . . too bad it went off the rails so quickly. For me, the major drawing point of the show has always been (Sutherland s brilliant portrayal of) the character of Jack Bauer. Here we have (or had, anyway) a finely nuanced take on the classic tragic hero figure. What made Bauer such a compelling character in pre...

#Sherlock Holmes-The Complete Series (2009-06-03) What can one say about one of the best crafted tv series to ever be put on DVD. Quality is first rate. A must have for Sherlock holmes fans!
#Fantastic Television Series (2009-06-01) This is by far the most well produced televsion series to date. All the directors (Peter Hammond, John Madden, etc) skillfully allow the actors to create the ambiance of an age long gone by and intersperse the indoor shots with slow pans, beautifully crafted tracking shots and long panoramic views of the English countryside. Peter Hammond (The Master Blackmailer) uses his camera like a paint brush to create idyllic images of bourgeois life, as the world around is wracked with deceit and thievary. John Madden visually illustrates the claustrop...
#Sherlock Holmes (2009-04-07) I have always liked Sherlock Holmes and this perticular series is truly a find. Jeremy Brett is the best at playing Sherlock Holmes, he seems to be the ideal persona. The Granada Series is just like watching a movie. I recommend this set as a five star product.
#London s Only Consulting Detective. (2008-11-02) In his foreword to Bantam s Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Novels and Stories, Loren Estleman called the relationship between Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson literature s warmest, most symbiotic and most timeless: rightfully so. Not surprisingly, film history is littered with adaptations of Conan Doyle s tales and Holmes pastiches (using the protagonists but otherwise independent storylines). Yet - and I m saying this with particular apologies to the fans of the Basil Rathbone/Nigel Bruce canon - none of these prior incarnations can hol...
#Pure Brilliance (2008-06-26) I don t regret buying this for a second. Jeremy Brett is truly an amazing Sherlock, and David Burke and Edward Hardwicke both make excellent Watsons. The fact that there s few special features do nothing to bring down the awesomeness of these DVDs. If you re a fan of Brett or Sherlock, this set is essential. If you re not. . . well, you should pretty much get it anyway. The video and audio quality is excellent and the booklet gives extra little tidbits that you don t get from just watching the show.

Arguably the series best season to date, season 5 of 24 literally starts with a bang and never lets up, with an intricate executive-level conspiracy to control Central Asia s oil supply. Piling crisis upon crisis in an escalating series of deceptions, twists, and deeply hidden agendas, the day-long ordeal begins with a devastating political assassination connected to a disgraced former CTU agent (Peter Weller) and a radical group of Russian separatists (led by British actor Julian Sands) threatening to release lethal nerve gas in Los Angeles to protest a U.S./Russian treaty about to be signed by President Charles Logan (Gregory Itzin). As Logan s unstable wife Martha (Jean Smart), Secret Service agent Aaron Pierce (Glenn Morshower), and chief of staff Mike Novick (Jude Ciccolella) gradually uncover the conspiracy, CTU maverick Jack Bauer (series star Kiefer Sutherland) emerges from self-imposed exile to aid his CTU colleagues in a life-threatening quest for the truth. Meanwhile, CTU c...

#You gotta start somewhere (2007-08-29) In retrospect, this season of 24 is one of the weaker ones. It gets its due credit for being the first however. You can see how the show is still playing with some of the ideas that the writers had whirling around (the intro sequence even changes after a couple of episodes). The story is a little over the top, but as later seasons of 24 prove. . . that s to be expected with this series. Characters come and go, there are surprise twists and turns, traitors/double agents etc. Anyone looking for a TV serial action-drama with the feel of a h...
#You want the best? 24 has it for you! (2007-06-11) 24 is one of the most innovative, thrilling and acclaimed drama series on television. Each episode covers one hour of real time, and the season s entire story will take place in one day (24 hours). Season five opened with Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) forced out of hiding and then becoming the most wanted man in America. The story may change, new characters may arrive and leave but one thing always stays the same. . . the underlying story of the show is about one man s fight to do what is right. There is a first-rate acting all arou...
#One of the best shows (2007-01-03) 24 is clearly one of the most well written shows out there. I only started to watch 24 -Season 5 last season and I got hooked right away. During the summer break, I watched all 4 seasons of 24 and I can t believe the show is full with interesting and mesmerizing characters. The storylines are very exciting and intriguing. I must admit watching the DVDs are better for the newcomers like me. This is because you don t need to wait until the next episode. That s why you should watch all the 5 seasons on DVDs before Season 6 starts. Season 5 is by f...
#Best Season Of 24 Yet!!!! (2006-10-24) I happen to be one of 24 s biggest fans. Watched a few episodes and I got hooked. I can seriously say that season 5 is the best season of 24. Season 5 has everything: romance, action and so many good plot twists and characters killed to keep you watching. The plot of the season goes like this: someone close to Jack Bauer is killed which gets him out of hiding. As Jack progresses during the season and saves the world again, it turns out that someone inside the White House has been orchestrating everything, so Jack must bring him down. Brill...
#Outstanding (2005-11-22) This show is just amazing. I started watching at the start of season 3. After about two episodes. I rushed out to buy the first season, and I wasn t disappointed. If you want to start watching 24 BUY THIS DVD FIRST. You won t regret it.
