#Explosive Espionage With Wisdom (2010-07-24) 7 seasons in, Jack Bauer doesn t miss a beat. He s a one man army, and his supporting cast doesn t disappoint. Rene Walker and Jack establish great chemistry, and the twists in this season are vintage 24. Enjoy.
#Great movie. (2010-03-03) I already have purchased the rest of the 24 seasons but never had the opportunity to buy them in blu ray. I was really surprised to find in it blue ray. Another surprise was the cost. The blu ray copy was cheaper than the regular editions. You can t do better than that. I was also very surprised at how fast the dvd arrived after I ordered it. I am one happy customer.
#loved it (2009-11-02) I have never watched a single episode of 24 until two days ago. I don t even watch dramas or cop shows in general, except for House and NCIS. I started watching Season 7 of 24 on Saturday morning and finished it on Sunday close to midnight. I didn t even expect to like it, especially with me missing season 1. . 6, but I did like it. In fact, I just couldn t stop watching. I m buying seasons 1. . 6 and the movie now :)The acting is great, and the script is fantastic. Lots of twists, lots of action. And each time you think it s over, the stakes just get highe...
#24 season 7 (2009-07-05) 24 season 7 is fast and furious with a bit of moral thinking but not to much and not too easy. The scenario is well done with an outcome every four or five episodes, which has put rythm in my viewing. The president and Renee are credible, humain and gorgeous each one in her way. The fact that Bauer is exposed is not a great idea for the tension. . . and it gives the impression that Bauer is beginning to be (too obviously)old. The season 8 should not show a Bauer slow, recovering, and too papy. Anyway this season 7 is a great season. Thanks to all. Michel D
#a nice one! (2009-06-28) For the fans, this season is a good one, with all the surprises you could expect! Obviously Jack survives everything but still, the plots are good and often unexpected. For someone who never watched the show before, this might be a bit too much of overpower from the Bauer but eh! we like it that way! Then I would recommend starting with the first season to better understand the caracter. . . before it became all about overpower. . . In any case, it s veeery nice entertainement!buy it.

#Canadian TV at its best. (2010-02-26) Murdoch Mysteries is a joy to watch. The Yannick Bisson character of Murdoch is great. Although the plot lines are sometimes solved long before the show ends. Still worth watching. The discovreies made during the Victoriian era are wound into the stories perfectly.
#The magical Murdoch Mysteries! (2009-11-28) The show is fun, well done, looks great, and totally enjoyable for the entire family!
#LOVE THIS SHOW (2009-06-11) GREAT show about police and investigations in 1800 s Toronto. Pretty authentic looking. The dvd seems a bit pricey but this show is well worth it. hope its back for a 3rd season. My Fave Canadian show.
#Series spinoff based on the novels by Maureen Jennings (2009-04-19) Three television adaptions of Maureen Jennings Victorian William Murdoch novels were so successful, the broadcaster (CITY television in Canada, UKTV in Britain and Granada International) commissioned a full fledged 13 episode series. 14 Gemini award nominations for season one led to the series being renewed for season two. This collection of episodes from season one has some stellar performances. Thomas Craig as Inspector Brackenreid, Helene Joy (Gemini award winning actress) as Dr Ogden, Jonny Harris as Constable ...
#Great Series but Too Pricey (2009-04-17) This series is a great historical and artistic series. Not too sure about a female forensic Doctor at that time but very accurate about Toronto during the turn of the century and new forensic ideas to solve crimes. The only real drawback to this 1st DVD is the price. Way too much for a season, especially since it does not give a detailed list of what shows are on the discs. I was waiting for this to come out but not for that much money. Hopefully it will go down in price. (like Dick Van Dyke finally did. ) Did not purchase till that seri...

One movie lover s nightmare is another s raucous joyride, and this special effects-laden horror comedy is bound to split both camps right down the middle. (Or, as Leonard Maltin s Movie & Video Guide puts it, definitely not for all tastes but a wild time for those who get into it.) Michael J. Fox plays a psychic investigator who can actually see ghosts, and lives with a trio of undead spirits who scare people to promote Fox s ghost-busting business. In a town infamous for serial killings, a new series of deaths prompts Fox to induce his own out-of-body experience so he can battle death in a spirit-plagued netherworld where evil reigns supreme--or something like that. So much happens in this chaotic film that you might feel like you re watching several movies at once--a slasher pic, a supernatural thriller, and a black comedy all rolled into a nonstop showcase for grisly makeup and a dozen varieties of special effects. It s an odd but wildly inventive film from New Zealand director Pet...

#Peter Peter, excentric director! (2007-11-21) That s right! It seems everytime Peter Jackson decides to embark on a project, he thinks to himself Allright. . . after I ll be done with this movie, nobody will ever be able to make a better one!And he succedes! With Braindead (Dead Alive), he took the zombies movies and took them to a place so extreme, so gory. . . that I do not think someone will be able to top the blood/gut level of it. With the Lord of the Rings trilogy. . . do I need to say more? There has been a lot of copycats in recent years but none of these adventure/quest mo...
#Wicked fun (2007-04-21) Just before doing Lord of the Rings, director Peter Jackson (who can be seen in a cameo as Man with Piercings) made an off-kilter horror/comedy movie called The Frighteners, the tale of the undead and the guy who makes a living off of them. Though Frighteners was barely in theaters at all, this cult flick is funny, creepy, well-acted and wonderfully directed. Frank Bannister (Michael J. Fox) has seen spirits and apparitions ever since the car crash that killed his wife. Now he operates an amateur ghostbusting operation that is supposed to exorcise ghosts fro...
#A very funny look at spirits and the afterworld! (2004-06-05) I saw this movie in the theater years ago and I have always loved it! It is quite a thriller. . . . fasten your seatbelt! I was laughing, crying, and screaming all at the same time. A must for any collection
#A well thought out horror/comedy (2004-06-04) This is one of those well done movies that balances several genres into a single story. On the one hand, you have Bannister s (Fox) tragic character who never fully got over the death of his wife. And his grief has made him pretty self destructive, so he s fallen from a successful and wealthy architect to a con-man living in his own, half-finished masterpiece. On the flipside of this are his partners in crime, the ghosts who scare Bannister s potential clients into hiring him in the first place. The humor gets pretty bizarre at time...
#Creepy Good Fun! (2004-06-04) Frank Bannister (Michael J. Fox) had pretty much given up on life since his wife died in a freak car accident. He was an up and coming architect before the wreak, but ever since he watched his wife die before his eyes, whispers have followed him around town that he murdered her in cold blood. Frank s erratic behavior since the car accident don t help matters any and its not like most people believe that he can really see ghosts, even though he can. Something about being so close to death opened his eyes and Frank found himself a new line of work as ...

A suave tennis player (Ray Milland) plots the perfect murder, the dispatching of his wealthy wife (Grace Kelly), who is having an affair with a writer (Robert Cummings). Amazingly, the wife manages to stave off her attacker, a twist of fate that challenges the hubby s talent for improvisation. Alfred Hitchcock wisely stuck to the stage origins of Dial M for Murder, ignoring the temptation to open up the material from the home of the unhappy couple. The result may not be one of Hitchcock s deepest films, but it s a thoroughly engaging chamber movie. It also features Grace Kelly at her loveliest, the same year she made Rear Window with Hitchcock. Dial M for Murder was filmed in the briefly trendy 3-D process, and Hitchcock shot some scenes to bring out the depth of the 3-D field, it s especially good for the nail-biting attempted murder of Kelly, and her desperate reach for a pair of scissors that seems to be just outside her grasp. However, the film was rarely shown with the proper 3-D ...

#Do you really believe in the perfect murder? (2007-03-16) Do you really believe in the perfect murder? Tony Wendice (Ray Milland), a former tennis player, does. That is the reason why he decides that asking someone to kill his beautiful and very rich wife is a good idea. But why kill someone just for the sake of doing so? Truth to be told, Tony is afraid that Margot (Grace Kelly) will ask him for divorce in order to marry Mark (Robert Cummings), an American writer she had a brief affair with after marrying Tony. Margot decided to stay with her husband, and is not aware of the fact t...
#At Last!!! (2004-07-12) I have been one of the many people who have sent in, demanding that this DVD be released and now it is! This is a great Hitchcock thriller and most of his films are on DVD, so why not this one. At Last!!!
#Hitchcock Timeout (2004-07-10) According to the director himself and no less an authority than Grace Kelly, Alfred Hitchcock directed this filmed stage play purely to kill time while readying his next picture Rear Window. He was completely disinterested in the plot - (and no wonder) - a stupid theatrical concoction about misplaced keys and a bungled murder scheme. He found time however to fall in love with Kelly and tried to wardrobize her, something he would put in the movie Vertigo five years later. Dial M is watchable primarily because of the suave performances of Ray Millan...
#Interesting movie! (2004-06-28) This is a great Alfred Hitchcock movie. It s one that is even better the second time you see it. Now, about the DVD, does anyone know what the difference is between this one, and the other Dial M for Murder DVD that isn t released yet?? I was confused by that. . . Please respond if you can help!
#Good. (2004-04-26) I can t remember the storyline from Dial M for Murder too much, but I do remember liking it. Once again, the master filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock manages to make a fantastic film from a limited story setting.

#SUPERB (2010-07-06) The MUST HAVE library of the best portrayal of Sherlock Holmes-not only is the acting fantastic, but the settings are beautiful. Takes you back in time. I also really appreciate the creative and interesting way the films are produced- obviously so much thought has gone into creating each and every gem of an episode. Watch closely and observe. Jeremy Brett IS. . . . . . Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Granada Television Series (12 DVD)
#Absolutely fantastic (2010-06-23) Can t say much more than to say this boxed set is worth every penny. Jeremy Brett has always been my only choice of actor to portray Sherlock Holmes ever since I first saw these episodes on A&E way back when, he is nothing short of brilliant in the role, perfectly capturing Holmes personality and attendant quirks. There s not much to choose between David Burke and Edward Hardwicke s portrayals of Dr. Watson, both men are very good in the role, although Burke seems to have much more on-screen presence, possibly due to his auburn hair and slightly mo...
#The great detective (2010-05-27) Everybody knows him -- the pipe-smoking detective on Baker Street (with or without the deerstalker), who is able to deduce all sorts of things just by glancing at a person. And while a lot of recent adaptations have completely bastardized Sir Arthur Conan Doyle s brilliant detective, Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Granada Television Series shows off Sherlock Holmes at his best. Not only is the writing and direction amazing, but Jeremy Brett, Edward Hardwicke and David Burke are simply brilliant in the main roles. Holmes (Brett) is an elite detective l...
#Sherlock Holmes-The Complete Series (2009-06-03) What can one say about one of the best crafted tv series to ever be put on DVD. Quality is first rate. A must have for Sherlock holmes fans!
#Fantastic Television Series (2009-06-01) This is by far the most well produced televsion series to date. All the directors (Peter Hammond, John Madden, etc) skillfully allow the actors to create the ambiance of an age long gone by and intersperse the indoor shots with slow pans, beautifully crafted tracking shots and long panoramic views of the English countryside. Peter Hammond (The Master Blackmailer) uses his camera like a paint brush to create idyllic images of bourgeois life, as the world around is wracked with deceit and thievary. John Madden visually illustrates the claustrop...
