#Excellent Buy! (2010-03-22) This map is great! Easy to read and locate streets, landmarks and points of interest. Its laminated so you don t have to worry about it disintegrating in your bag or tearing apart. Excellent buy!
#Exceptionally detailed (2004-07-15) Lived there - loved it but I could have saved myself hours of wandering around lost with this in my pocket. Picked it up and reminisced about so many great neighborhoods and holes in the walls in Manhattan. It s a deliciously, culturally engaging place to visit but can be dauntingly intimidating if you re unfamiliar with the culture and lay out. Manhattan has it s own cadence and with this in your purse you can keep up and be confident you re headind in the right direction.
#A must have for vising or moving to NYC (2004-05-02) I m in the process of moving to NYC, and as such have been visiting to try to get aquainted with the various neighborhoods, etc. I bought a variety of maps and tourist books to help me get around, and ths Streetwise Manahattan map was BY FAR the most useful (much better than the Lonely Planet New York map. . . ). I think the thing that makes it stand out more than Lonely Planet was how the subway stops were annotated with the specific subway lines that stop there, allowing you to plan your travel both above and under ground. Lone...
#A Ripoff (2004-02-24) I was appalled when Streetwise Manhattan arrived. I ve been to New York many times, but planning a visit for a week in March with my wife, I thought the advertised compactness of this product would be convenient for us carry. But, it is extremely hard to read and devoid of most useful information other than a hard to read street layout. Its only advantage is that it is a hard plastic which won t rip when one puts it in a pocket or purse. I am familiar with many city maps, such as the Michelin Maps of Paris, and in comparison this is simply a terrible p...
#Couldn t Live Without It (2003-08-09) I bought this map before taking a trip to NYC. I was daunted by the thought of navigating around Manhattan, but this map made the whole place seem smaller and much easier to figure out. It was THE most valuable thing I brought with me on my Manhattan vacation! I really like how you can get an overall feel of the size, shape, and layout of Manhattan, and see how all the neighborhoods fit together. I will be moving to NYC and am currently searching for an apartment in Manhattan, and I could not survive the apartment search without this map. ...

#Tokyo city Atlas (2009-04-04) I returned this book as it wasn t what I was looking for. I found it a bit confusing.
#Never Lost In Tokyo (2007-07-03) This atlas is very light-weighted and handy in size. All location names are written in both romaji (English characters) and Japanese/Kanji characters. In addition to enclosing Metropolitan Tokyo Rail System and Tokyo Subway System, it provides detailed maps of Central Tokyo such as Ginza, Shinjuku, Asakusa, Ikenukuro, Harajuku, and Ueno, etc. All maps show the chome numbers and block numbers so that readers can easily identify the physical address location in Tokyo. The maps also show underground passage, park, subway, hospital, hotels, and so on. ...
#Makes Tokyo Much More Fun (2006-12-24) In one sense, it is very easy to get around Tokyo. The subways and trains go just about everywhere. On the other hand, finding a particular shop or restaurant can be very difficult (for Westerners) because of the tangle of streets and the lack of signs, but even more importantly the different method of identifying addresses. The maps in your guide book -- even the Lonely Planet books -- are not sufficient if you want to be able to find that restaurant your friend recommended. This easy-to-use map makes a world of difference. With it, you ...
#If going to, or in Tokyo-YOU WANT THIS BOOK! (2004-06-17) This is THE most useful item to pack, when going to Tokyo. Subway maps, JR maps, street maps that make sense: all of it arranged in a ",just slightly larger than pocket size", format. That this book is written in both English characters and kana is a plus as well, should you get lost, find your nearest police box [or nice Japanese person], break out this handy book, and give the ",Please help me, for I am lost and frantic and foreign", look, and lo-you will be unlost quickly. Long-term residents should consider...
#Tokyo is complicated city more than you except. (2004-04-04) Tokyo will be complex city more than your exception. The popularity is more than 10million. And the downtown is divided to 23 special city(23KU). The railway run here and there, the line is too complex for Japanese even. Though I have lived more than 20 years in Tokyo, I have problems when ride to train. Especially, in the center of down town(inner Ymanote line), metro more than 20 lines run, more complex. For that, foreigners will need maps etc. Certainly the railway is too complex, on the other hands, if you use the ra...

#Very useful and well made (2009-09-07) We used this map on a trip to paris, and loved it. There are 3D graphics representing the monuments which is really a nice touch because it makes them easier to find and to recognize since there are so many. The colour scheme is also very nice. The map does not go really far south, it stops at Tour Montparnasse, but we were just a corner away so it was not really a problem, plus there is really nothing much below anyway. To the east, it stops at Cimetière Père-Lachaise, and to the north at the Sacré-Coeur. The metro map was incredibly usefu...
#Best item I bought for the trip! (2004-04-18) This map got us everywhere we wanted to go in Paris for our 1 week visit. I began using it right off the plane when our shuttle driver didn t know where our apartment was. We used it to keep the rain off our heads, and put it down on dirty benches to protect our clothes. The metro map meant that we never took a wrong train. We spent most of the week on foot and every street we were on was in the map. Most of the items and guides I brought along were looked at in the room before we left every morning, but this map was always with us....
#Great Map! (2003-06-17) This map was an essential element of my time spent in Paris. It is perfect if you re going to be in Paris and need a very detailed street map while walking through the city. It doesn t cover many of the outer-lying areas, but it covers the heart of the city in-depth. I speak zero French and this map got me wherever I needed to go. I would recommend any of Streetwise maps. I have used quite a few, both internationally and nationally, and have found them all to be extremely useful. In fact, whenever I know I m going to be visiting a different city I ...
#Not really a map of Paris! (2003-04-25) This map is crap. I mean it s really bad. Look at any Plan de Paris and you ll see they have one thing in common: they have a map of ALL of Paris, the ENTIRE city! This horrible map doesn t go any farther north than Sacre Coeur (strange), farther east than Pere Lachaise (not good) or farther south than Tour Montparnasse (absolutely, inexcusably whack). That s a huge swath of Paris wiped off the map, especially in the south. Now if you are just a monkey-boy tourist who will only be walking from the Champs Elysees to the Eiffel Tower...
#Essential! (2003-04-03) This is an essential resource for travelers to Paris. Whether it s your first visit or your tenth, this convenient, detailed and accurate map will enable you to see all the City of Light has to offer. It s laminated, and easily fits in your back pocket. Simple, inexpensive, and perfect.

#Tried It and Liked It! (2004-02-10) This map is accurate and laminated, which makes it indestructible. It is a good value and easy to read. I essentially walked most areas of Rome and found no errors. . . it got me back to my hotel every time. An excellent buy!
#Get the official Tourism Office map instead (2003-10-21) You can find an official (and free) map and important extra documentation at the Tourism Office of all European cities you plan on traveling to. These offices are right at the Train station or Airport. Even your hotel concierge will provide you with a decent map. In my experience, all Tourism Office maps were better than the Streetwise ones I had bought for my trip. Some of the flaws I saw:- Metro lines not drawn out, just stations. It helps to see the actual metro line when you are looking for other stations along your lin...
