If you re a Weight Watcher, this collection of 500 recipes in a handy loose-leaf binder could put you in the fast lane on the road to success. This cookbook is designed for Weight Watchers 1•,2•,3 Success program: points are assigned to foods based on fat, fiber, and calories, and your daily point allowance is based on your current weight. So you can eat what you want, as long as you don t go over your allotted points. The better your food choices, the more you can eat before you run out of points. Recipes are varied and cover the whole gamut: sauces, breads, soups, meat, chicken, fish, and vegetarian entrees, pasta, vegetable, grain, and potato side dishes, and, of course, desserts. The recipes are more healthful but not drastically different from foods you and your family enjoy now. Many are familiar comfort foods, such as Pizza, Oven Fried Chicken, Beef Stew, Tuna Noodle Casserole, Chocolate Layer Cake, and Cheesecake. Internationally inspired favorites include Dolmades ...

#Need to specify a serving size (2004-07-13) WW has great recipes but they ve done my pet peeve again! It is so annoying to look at, for instance, the soup you just made and be forced to either guess at 1/8 or measure the whole batch of soup and then extract an 1/8. Why not: Serving size 1 1/2 cup?
#Not what I was hoping for. (2004-04-21) No what I thought. I was hoping for more pictures and lower point recipes. Most meals called for several ingredients. Working full time and lack of cooking experience made this book difficult to fit into my schedule. Hoped more recipes would have me grilling in pam to cut out the unnecessary points in butter and oil.
#Great, with a few problems (2004-04-15) Like any cookbook, you re not going to love everything. There are some hits and misses here. Fortunately, so far, I ve experienced far more of the good than bad. For instance, I can t say enough about how great the Chicken Quesadillas, Tomato Basil Pizza, Beef Chili and Balsamic Veal Chops are. I will avoid like the plague the Chicken Hash and the Roast Beef and Arugula. What is really lacking from this cookbook, however, is the absence of portion sizes. Like other reviewers have pointed out, this is not a big deal if you are serving up a b...
#Easy to Follow, Excellent Variety in the Recipes (2004-04-14) The WEIGHT WATCHERS NEW COMPLETE COOKBOOK (Spiral Edition 1998) is the first diet cookbook that I ever felt compelled to buy. I must say that, although I am not a Weight Watchers member, they sure do put out a very good cookbook, one that is easy to follow and even fun to use! I love the spiral binder design and tab sections, as it makes it really easy to thumb through to find the kind of recipe you re looking for. Whether it be appetizers, soups, salads, entrees or desserts, you are sure to find a wide variety of healthy ...
#EXCELLENT COLLECTION OF TASTY DO-ABLE MEALS (2004-03-21) I love this cookbook. I have lots of them, and this is one of my very favorites. I made the WW Stuffed Turkey breast for Thanksgiving this past year. . . everyone loved it. And my family usually turns their noses up at anything lowfat or good for you. But that is what is so great about this book. . . you would never know some of these recipes are diet. . no sacrificing taste here.

#Common Sense (2008-03-05) There are some books that sell themselves without any help from marketers. I think Can We Live 150 Year? is one of them. I learned about the book by the word of mouth - a friend of mine got it from her physiotherapist, and she suggested me to get one as well. I got one, and then I got a few more. . . Can We Live 150 has become my favourite small gift to my friends. I am now ordering them directly from the author s website. Yesterday I received from the publisher two copies of the second edition of the book. The author, former head of Center for Health S...
#A bible for living a long and healthy life (2008-02-04) Over the years I have collected a hodge-podge compendium of diverse but useful information for regaining or maintaining my health. When disease would appear, I researched scores of books on the subject, evaluated many different approaches, and then experimented until I found something that worked. As my body has changed, some solutions that worked before no longer worked. The task of maintaining the body has become much more complex. For some time I have been wishing for a comprehensive resource that had all the successful app...
#interesting through to ridiculous (2008-01-29) I ll grant that this book has some interesting information in it but it does not have any footnotes to aid one in finding out where the information was gleaned from. Also things like the simplification of one s character deduced by eye color is simply idiotic (pg. 146). This book does NOTHING to aid someone who is already experiencing chronic health problems. If you are looking for help for such conditions, look elsewhere. I bought this book and was really disappointed in it. You are better off with Dr. Hyman s books. You can a...
#There is something for everyone (2007-10-28) The book, is packed with information about body cleansing, treatment of obesity and other common ailments, proper nutrition, proper breathing techniques, taking care of your back, and much more. It is very comprehensive and compact. In fact a little too compact for my eyes - it would be easier to read if the letters were bigger. I wouldn t mind if it was published in four or five hundred pages, or even in two different volumes. You will find in the book many good alternatives to visiting your physician with a small disorder or inconveni...

#My Favourite Low Fat Cookbook (2005-01-16) I love this cookbook! I use it at least once a week and find that the recipes are easy to follow and easy to modify to the core plan. The only problem is that the recipes are not spicy enough for my tastes so I simply double the recommended spice amount. Naother bonus is that all of the ingredients are things readily found in my kitchen or easuly found in a supermarket.
#fabulous (2004-05-08) Quick, yummy and tasty. I m not following the WW program, but this cookbook is great. It s well-organized, and every recipe is very accessible. Lots of ethnic-inspired dishes, lots of soups and sandwiches, and some really nice recipes you can make for company.
#MUST HAVE! (2004-01-19) I ordered this book because I was having a hard time staying on the Weight Watchers Plan. I found my food choices limited which resulted in reduncy in what I ate. When I received this book it took me almost THREE hours to devise my menu plan for a week because all of the recipies in this book were so amazing! I didn t know what to choose! There are many ideas that could be put together in whatever time frame you choose. I am really, really, happy with this book, I am impressed. For those not following Weight Watchers this is still a great book with a great v...
#Yummy - and easy! (2004-01-18) This is a great cookbook! All the recipes we have tried have been delicious. They are also slightly unusual - none of the standard, boring diet dishes which discourage people from the very idea of going on a diet. (Not that you ll feel as though you re dieting when you try these dishes. ) As the title implies, the recipes in Make it in Minutes can also be whipped up very quickly. The menu suggestions are also helpful. Highly recommended!
#Fantastic cookbook! (2003-12-24) I ve never cooked in my life (a bachelor). Much to the surprise of recent guests, I prepared several meals from ",Make it in Minutes. ", Not only were my family and friends shocked that I could cook at all, they were even more surprised that these outstanding and tasty recipes were from a Weight Watchers cookbook! This book has made a cook out of someone who couldn t even boil water in the past. MY ETERNAL THANKS TO WEIGHT WATCHERS! Now I can have people for dinner without ordering out, and I have the confidence to try other cookbooks! AN...

#You ll wear this one out with use! (2004-07-03) I ve tried more than half of the recipes in this cookbook and enjoyed every one of them. Taste and variety are as important to me as calories and points and this cookbook doesn t disappoint. For those of you with a spouse who isn t diet conscious, you know how difficult it is to serve meals that please both palates. I can assure you that this cookbook will do the trick. . . for the first time in many dieting attempts, I feel satisfied by my meals and my husband doesn t feel like he s also on a diet!
#Well worth the price! (2004-06-22) My family LOVES this book! We have been having ",International Night", all week with recipes from this book. It sure breaks up the boredom of eating the same stuff over and over again. Ingredients are easy to find, the recipes are easy to follow and they all taste great! I highly recommend this book.
#Great variety (2004-06-09) I love this cookbook! It is great that the points are already figured out for you, and the recipes are really good. I also like the variety of different kinds of recipes that you might not expect. I have made something from the Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Mexican sections and they all turned out really good. Everything is low point, so it makes it easy to have good food while doing Weight Watchers successfully.
#Ready for Dinner Parties (2004-05-28) I had a dinner party last night and made 6 dishes from the Indian menu - every dish was absolutely delicious and easy to make, and no one was the wiser that they were all under 8 points. I highly recommend this book.
#Best Healthy Book Ever (2004-04-11) I ve lost count of all the healthy cookbooks I ve bought over the years, with many of them now gathering dust at the back of a cupboard somewhere. This one however has become my new favourite cookbook ever - healthy or not! In the month since it arrived on my doorstep I ve made at least a dozen of the recipes - and not a bad meal among them. I ve served up several of the recipes to guests, each time I ve been asked for the recipe I used. The Szechuan Chicken & Lamb Biriyani are probably the favourites so far. The book is easy to follow, the reci...
