#Finally, getting to the fat! (2008-11-08) I am always on the lookout for a book that can help me with belly fat as that is my biggest problem and I am so glad this book was written! It s not like it s that much new info--more grains, slow down when eating, etc--but it gave me a new perspective, which is what all dieters need from time to time. If you want rid of that belly fat, this is the book for you. Another one that helped me get on the weight loss kick was Fatass No More! How I Lost Weight and Still Ate Cheeseburgers and Fries.

#The Bible (2008-09-21) I LOVE this cookbook!! I use it almost everyday. It is so easy to use and she has easy tips for almost every recipe. I also like the nutrition information. Out of my hundreds of cookbooks this is my #1!!
#Simple, easy and new (2008-04-23) I was not impressed with Tosca Reno s diet book as it did not tell me anything I didn t know, clean eating is something we ve always tried to practice, although our common sense practices didn t have a fancy name. That said, this cookbook is great. I have a vast collection of cookbooks and still found new and simple ideas for good, wholesome meals. I just read thru the entire book and marked page after page to plan into my meals. Why not five stars, then? There are some misleading recipes. . . Thick yogurt mixed with melted chocolate does not make...
#The plan is simple (2007-12-29) I am so glad there s now a cookbook for anyone who wants to eat clean. After I read Tosca Reno s first book I felt like clean-eating made so much sense, but I was a little panicked, thinking, Ok, but what CAN I eat??. I ve tried lots of recipes in this book, and they have all been good and the plan is simple:Eat 5-6 small meals daily, every 2-3 hours. Combine lean protein and complex carbs in each meal. Drink a minimum of 2 liters/8cups of water daily. Don t skip meals, especially breakfast. Carry a cooler loaded with Clean-Eating foods for the day. Av...
#Love it (2007-12-18) I have been eating nothing else since I bought this book - recipes are simple and delicious. Highly recommended!!!

#Make the cut! (2008-11-24) I am a big fan of the biggest loser and love Jillan! I have the workout dvd and decided to see what this book could do for me too. It s great, though it is a bit intense. But, hey, if you re going to get results in 30 days, you have to be intense. I definitely recommend it, along with Fatass No More! How I Lost Weight and Still Ate Cheeseburgers and Fries

#Not Impressed (2008-10-04) I bought this book after seeing the authors on the Ellen show. It seemed to me like a good book to read, but I couldn t get myself to finish it. I consider myself to be at a very healthy weight, and wanted to see if the book could give me advice on how to maintain my weight and maybe lose and extra 5 pounds or so to tone up a bit. Boy, was I wrong. This book made me feel terrible about myself! They constantly swear at the reader and call them fat and lazy. How awful. I don t recommend this book unless you are prepared to become a vegan and be...
#I love this book! (2008-09-28) I must admit that the title of this book attracted my attention and that s why I bought it, however, I was more than pleasantly surprised when I found out that it s vegan! I more than enjoyed all the documented research on sugar, aspartame, caffeine, dairy and meat. This is not just some wacko-hand-slapping-rant about eat this and not that, but an educated well-documented study into nutrition, health and animal rights. Even if you re not vegetarian/vegan/raw, this book is a wealth of information on many general nutrition subjects. As for the poeple who...
#Yikes! (2008-08-14) Skinny Bitch is a skinny nightmare! If you followed the advice of these two ladies you would be reduced to eating a couple of organic carrots a day. The whole book was so anti-food and enjoyment that I returned it as quickly as possible. Far too negative for anyone who believes life is for living. So many of these Food Nazis are simply old-time religious zealots in a new guise. A daily onslaught of guilt is no way to be happy. Skinny or otherwise. Looking down your nose at those who genuinely enjoy a glass of wine or a dessert is a pathetic way of b...
#Just bury me now ! (2008-08-13) Wow, if I hear one more soy product or tofu or fake chicken I will explode! Humans have been eating meat, eggs, and milk products forever, they are not what are making us sick and fat! It s our lifestyles! It s fast food! Why don t they mention in the book to get off your butt if you want to be skinny and healthy. You have to be crazy to follow their crazy diet ideas and deprive yourself of everything that is good on this planet. I think it s more sensible to eat a varied diet which is prepared by YOU not McFastFood, and get daily exerc...
#Vegan Screed in Disguise (2008-07-03) A weight-loss book in which the two authors try to cajole, guilt and bully the reader into becoming vegan. Aside from that, it s mildly amusing.

#simply put (2008-05-09) This is valuable information for anyone trying to stay healthy in a natural way by eating the way they should.
#It supplies the information on health everyone should have (2007-12-31) Michael Roizen helps you learn how your body works and how to get in touch with it. The only criticism I have of the book is that Roizen advocates a special diet, rather than focusing on what your body tells you what it needs. None the less, This book is your own owners manual for your own body. To be healthy you have to understand all of the various bodily functions, not just the dogmatic views other books discuss, and what you need to do to keep everything running smoothly and remain and maintain a healthy sta...
#Great informative book (2007-11-07) My husband and I both love this book. We learned so many things about how our bodies work. We both feel good about practicing what they teach. This book is healthy and balanced, it s not like others that may deprive your body of Carbo s or Protein. It just feels right and the work out is great too. I would recommend this book to all. Not just the people who need to loose a few pounds. If you are interested in being healthier and understanding how your body process food, then you should read this book. Enough typing, now back to reading. Also...
#May or may not be for YOU (2007-10-13) I have mixed feelings about this book. Even though we are all hoping to open up a weight loss book and find an effortless way to lose those unwanted pounds, we all know that the only way to lose weight is by eating less, exercising more, or both. Hence, if you strip away all the elf pictures and humor, You: On a Diet really has nothing more to offer than that. So if you re looking for a new slant to things, or some cutting edge weight loss plan, you ll probably be disappointed. Having said that, for what it is- a quite entertaining weight lo...
#Sometimes all you need is a little common sense (2007-07-11) This book is more than a detailed diet. It is an instruction manual to your body and helps you understand what happens to you when you eat. It is a no nonsense approach based on plain english explanations and terminology. Understanding the mechanics of your body will make the changes and suggestions in this book easy to follow through with. This common sense approach is quite refreshing particularly for those people who place little trust in fad diets and self-help books. The reader will be quite pleased with the level o...
