#The best learning book (2006-04-23) This book is easy to read, and easy to follow. Short paragraphs don t loose you in the subject. And the language every nurse can follow. Recommend to new ICU nurses like myself.

#My favorite (2004-05-24) This book is rare because it is original. It welcomes you to the real world of critical care as seen by one expert physician. It was probably never intended for quick reference or board prep. The relatively large print and generous spacing make the book bigger but more pleasant to read.

#Good, but First Edition Better (2003-11-09) Good book for the fundamentals and the physiology behind the patient care. As a critical care MD, I learned alot form the book during my training, however like another reviewer, I found this edition too long. The first edition (much shorter, and the one I learned from and want back) is much better and about half the pages.

#Great Resource (2004-01-27) I got this book a couple of years ago on the advice of my mentor. This book has really helped me out in school(esp. in my Problem-Based Learning classes). It is pretty easy to understand, is very concise, and it includes many commmon and uncommon diseases of small animals. However, not all information about specific diseases is included. This resource should just be used as a starting point. The formulary is useful, as is the section about diagnostic test results. I just wish they would come out with a 5-Minute Consult-Exotics Edition

I purchased this book hoping it would help with diet, supplements and general information. I was recommended this book online as supposedly it would help my dog. #Great Reference tool (2006-04-02) I firt learned about Dr. Pitcairn s when my Rottweiller had arthritis. Simply following some of the recipes included and giving him some of the suppliments suggested and my old boy s coat became soft and shiny as a puppy s.
