Change can be a blessing or a curse, depending on your perspective. The message of Who Moved My Cheese? is that all can come to see it as a blessing, if they understand the nature of cheese and the role it plays in their lives. Who Moved My Cheese? is a parable that takes place in a maze. Four beings live in that maze: Sniff and Scurry are mice--nonanalytical and nonjudgmental, they just want cheese and are willing to do whatever it takes to get it. Hem and Haw are littlepeople, mouse-size humans who have an entirely different relationship with cheese. It s not just sustenance to them, it s their self-image. Their lives and belief systems are built around the cheese they ve found. Most of us reading the story will see the cheese as something related to our livelihoods--our jobs, our career paths, the industries we work in--although it can stand for anything, from health to relationships. The point of the story is that we have to be alert to changes in the cheese, and be prepared to go ...

#Excellent Motivational book (2009-09-21) Very easy read. Simple story but very parctical and applicable to our daily lives. Can prove to be useful for anyone dealing with any kind of a change. . . be it academic, job related, relationships. . . . can apply it to anything.
#My boss made me read it... (2009-03-05) Overall, this aweful little piece of mindless literature is clearly a tool of corporate America and has obviously spread like a brainwashing cancer through the system. Do yourself a favour: -If you are being told to read this by an employer, make sure you don t have to buy it yourself and even then only pretend to read it. -If you are in management, you are clearly trying to tell your employees to shut up and do what you say. This is going to lead to a revolt. . . idiot. In short, if you feel like reading useful material about cheese, buy ...
#More Moving Than Cheesy (2009-02-19) The reviews of this book seem to be split right down the middle. I side with the multiple-star reviewers. Yes, this is a simplistic book, but it is deceptively simple. And when you actually practice the principles that are described in this parable -- accepting what is, taking appropriate action, and thinking positively -- your life can change for the better in a profound manner. I have often been told that my own book is the spiritual side of this same story. Well, now that I have read Who Moved My Cheese?, and I like it, Im going to take ...
#Entertaining Lesson (2008-10-07) A short story about 2 mice and 2 little people in a maze looking for cheese. Of course cheese is just a metaphor for what you want in life (such as money, the ideal job), and the maze represents where you are looking for what you want (such as your family, an organization). As the story goes, one of the characters (Haw) learns to deal with change successfully and writes what he has learned on the maze wall. In this way, the reader gets the main points in the book and can learn too how to deal with life s changes. A little book that is big on w...
#start a discussion on change (2008-09-28) Written with the fable of two mice, I have used this book to start the discussion on change and resistance to change. Which mouse do you most closely identify with and why? The book is a quick easy read, and provides some insight into behavior that we all identify as the other guys, not our own. Worth the money spent.

#A good choice (2010-03-20) This book is written in a colloquial and involving language. It is full of captivating experiences, and easy to read and understand. I have read a lot of books on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but none like this. It really helped me understand the root causes of this conflict and see it from a perspective I had never seen. Very good book and very good choice for those who read it!
#Son of Hamas (2010-03-05) Irrespective of religious preference or appearances on national television programs this book was an excellent read that kept me up late into the night longing for more. A definite page-turner!

#loved it andre - yes, you re fragile - but enough about brooke (2010-02-06) NOTE TO CATCHLIGHT (Most recent reviewer) If you d given some time to the acknowledgements, you d read that J. R. Moehringer (The Tender Bar) Pulitzer Prize Winner assisted Andre. And, as any professional success enables others, Mr. Agassi has people: Kim Wells, Eric Mercado,Ben Cohen. MY CO-WORKERS THROUGHOUT THE PAST TWO DECADES THOUGHT I SHOULD VE BEEN THE PRESIDENT OF AN AGASSI FAN CLUB. MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO EVERY TELEVISED MATCH, IRREGARDLESS OF TIME ZONES, THROUGHOUT THE GOOD, THE BA...
#Entertaining and insightful (2010-01-12) I had two novels on the go and a pile of Christmas gift books waiting, but after reading the first few pages of Agassi s memoir I put the others aside to finish Open. The first strength that I noticed is the precision, economy, quality of the writing. There s no mention of a ghost writer, and Agassi admits that he left school in grade nine, so he has drawn upon his intelligence, keen powers of observation, and natural fluency as a storyteller to make Open a finely-detailed, literate, and compelling read. The book also delivers honest insights i...
#Million Little Pieces (2009-12-29) An amazing read. . . couldn t put it down for the 3 days it took me to read (hey, gimme a break. . . I ve got 2 kids!). The style reminded me of James Frey - like a Million Little Pieces for tennis fans.
#Got to be the best Tennis Autobiograhy I have read to date (2009-12-19) I read most of the tennis autobiograpies that come out and to date this is my favourite. Well written ( by J. R. Moehringer ). Andre realy lays open his feelings both for the game of tennis and for his friends and tennis foes. Highly recomended.
#Wicked childhood ... great book (2009-12-13) This is a great read. Andre shared stuff that I m not sure I d want the world to hear about myself, but it probably got a lot off his chest! Well written autobiography.

#Tea time is time well spent (2010-02-16) When first asked to read Three Cups I resisted since I don t ordinarily like self-congratulatory literature. I was captivated immediately because the author described a world I did not own. His descriptions brought me closer to the mysteries of mountain climbers and their community, the people and places they meet along the way. I wonder that my own mountain climbing friends are not more changed from that encounter themselves. The heroics described seemed logical and wonderful. The hazards confronted somewhat daunting. I find it hard to...
#Educational experience (2010-01-31) This book was very educational as well as interesting. It taught me a lot about the Middle Eastern people, that the news media reveals albeit sometimes out of focus. I learned to love and admire the people for their tenacity and honesty, but felt the pain of their disappointments and loss, a part of their everyday living. It is a connection between me and the people in the news, that I may never meet, but better understand.
#Inspiring and Informative (2010-01-24) In a passage of the Book, a US politician says she learned more from Greg Mortgenson in an hour-long presentation than she had in years of Whitehouse briefings about the War on terrorism. This is how I felt after reading this book - I learned more about the roots of terrorism and solutions for working productively towards global stability than I had from years of news coverage about Afganistan and Osama. I admit its never been a topic that had really interested me or drew me in - this book sat on my coffee table for quite a while before I picke...
#A True Must Read! (2010-01-24) This book truly lives up to A MUST READ CATEGORY. The Authors provides the reader with an amazing insight into the geography, history , culture and lives of both ordinary & extraordinary people in remote Pakistan and Afghanistan. His efforts to improve the lives of young children and especially women is simply amazing. Greg Morenson, his wife Tara and the CAI foundation are performing a wonderful humanitarian act that must continue.
#Three Cups of Tea (2010-01-18) An inspiring book that everyone should read, both male and female. I have more than one copy that I lend out to people. Greg Mortenson is an amazing person who has achieved so much and is still doing so much more. Education is the answer to ending human conflict and Greg is making that happen for so many children and their families.
