#Not just for teens (2008-12-25) I bought the Twilight saga box set earlier, but my order was cancelled due to inability to meet supply and demand so I ended up paying 3 times what I was originally planning on paying for it and I am glad I did. This whole saga was so romantic and magical it made me feel like I was back in highschool again and those feelings of falling in love for the first time. Twilight was my favourite of the 4 books. New Moon was good, but I didn t like the lack of Edward in the beginning of the book. Eclipse was probably my least fave of all the books I mean it was good, but not as exciting as the other books. Breaking Dawn was a surprisingly good ending to the saga although not what I would have expected. It didn t disappoint me as others had said it might. For being in my late 20 s I didn t find these books too young. Love the set.
#Just for pre-teen girls? Absolutely not! (2008-12-06) I started reading these books after my sixteen year old sister left the first one on the coffee table and I picked it up and was immediatley drawn in. Her writing is quite descriptive and you feel like you are in the rainy mysterious Forks ( the town where the book is set) from the first time it s mentioned. The whole cast of characters in the book is interesting. With their description of the incredible love between the main characters and the complications that ensue because of their differences ( human/vampire),these books will definitley tug at your heartstrings. It is a great read for any female, young and old.
#Don t be fooled be the first half of the book...it gets a little better (2008-12-03) The beginning of this book was boring and drawn out. it was ok, but i found myself skimming through it. It finally got better near the end of the first book. I wouldn t really reccommend them to anyone. (Unless, of course, you are a female aged 12-16, then you would love it. ) I m in my 20 s and i found it to be a bit too descriptive and somewhat sickening, such as when the main vampire s beautiful skin is described. Come on!!!! Puke. But i guess it was well written. Just not really my style.
#A must read no matter how old you are!!! (2008-10-14) My girls read these books and they couldn t stop talking about them. I was so taken by their passion and enthusiasm that I decided to read them as well. I was have to say that I loved the entire series. I ve read them more than once and thoroughly enjoyed every page. These are full of characters that you actually wish you could become friends with. I definitely recommend them as well as The Host by Stephenie Meyer. I guarantee that once you start reading you will not be able to put these books down.
#Amazing, MUST READ (2008-10-03) These books are not just for younge people. I bought the first one, Twilight, for my husband for our paper anniversary and no one has been able to put the books down since. Everyone we have recommended/loaned the books to are smitten!!!!!! Amazingly good! I also recomend Meyer s other novel The Host!J. G.
