#Very handy (2008-03-27) I am a student, so when I got my first job a few years ago I had a few impulse buys, and this was one of them. When it first came I thought that I might have just wasted my money on a gimmick that I would hardly use. However, before I bought Tom-tom software for it, I was using it quite alot when I was staying with family. Because I had no laptop back then I had no way of checking my emails, until I got this. It came in very handy in this respect. When I started to drive I splashed out for the tom-tom gps software for it and this again became an invaluable to...
#Mio P550 (2007-08-14) Recently brought this and have found it to be a very good product for the price!Older versions of this model did have some problems (they have released newer versions, so buying one now will get you a newer trouble free version), but the new ones are perfect. Sync s with Outlook email, calendar and contacts with no trouble at all. Wireless internet works fantastic, and the GPS works well with Tom Tom 6. If you re looking for a good GPS with full PDA functionality, at this price you really cannot go wrong. I recommend getting yourself an RSS reader and Today p...
#P550 (2007-08-09) When the P550 works, it is excellent. But like I said When it works !It can take up to five minutes to get a satellite fix meaning you can t just turn it on and navigate. It will get a fix quicker if you turn it on and stand still for 3-4 minutes, not really helpful if you re busy (I use Tom Tom 6). The battery life is ludicrous. On standby i. e. switched off, you ll be lucky to see a couple of days. (I ve corrected this review with respect to losing contacts when the battery dies as pointed out by someone. The P550 does not lose contact information when the...
#Excellent but flawed (2007-02-03) Well, I have owned this for nine months, and thought it was time to edit this review. Much of what I wrote initially is true, BUTthe battery life is very poorit is very easy to catch the on button when carrying it around so the battery is dead by the time you come to use it. for walking I have upgraded to a satmap. ~~~~~~~~original reviewThe Mio P 550 is basically the same as the 350 but has wifi and bluetooth. It is finished in black and has a strong well made feel to it. Setting it up is easy, installing active sync etc is easy - as you would expect....

#I have no words! (2007-08-25) Absolute brilliance. I saw 1 bad review, and vaguely suspect that s Garmin s notorious PR people. . . Here s the skinny. . . this is my THIRD GPS system, by a slight margin the cheapest, and invariably the best. 1. The first was TomTom mobile on a Nokia 6680 (all in 250 quid-ish) which was reasonable, but no touch-screen and a small screen. . . . but still does the job. 2. Finally bit the bullet and bought a Garmin. Read a lot of positive s about Garmin and decided to buy a Nuvi, that set me back about 400 quid. I was pleasantly surprised, as it had...
